About Terravista
The story
Terravista was born from the conviction that Trancoso deserved infrastructure equal to its beauty. Not a conventional resort, but an integrated ecosystem where every part strengthens the others.
High on the cliffs of the Coast of Discovery, where the Portuguese first sighted Brazil, Terravista was built to strict standards: respecting the topography, preserving the Atlantic rainforest, and delivering a hospitality standard that southern Bahia had never known.
Today, the complex brings together high-end condominiums, the golf course voted best in Brazil, the L'Occitane Theatre, a private executive airport and beaches of exclusive access. All of it run with the attention of those who understand that the experience is the true product.

Roger Barends came to Terravista with a clear vision: a complex that would enchant, not impress. One that conveyed tranquility and convenience, not empty opulence.
Under his leadership, Terravista has established itself as Trancoso's premier luxury accommodation destination, with a loyal base of guests who return year after year and an operation that treats every visit as if it were the first.

Reinold Geiger
An Austrian businessman, Reinold Geiger is chairman of Groupe L'Occitane, one of the world's largest beauty and wellness companies, which he grew from a small Provençal brand into a global reference after taking over its management in 1994.
Drawn to Trancoso, Geiger saw in the region the same essence that guided his path at L'Occitane: authenticity, preserved nature and genuine experiences. That vision still inspires Terravista today — present, among other things, in the Teatro L'Occitane within the complex.
